The Rotary Club of Bath
The Rotary Club of Bath is a membership organisation serving the city of Bath, bringing together business and professional leaders who offer their time and expertise to support charitable causes both locally and internationally.
We are a member of Rotary International, an international organisation set up to provide humanitarian service and advance goodwill and peace around the world.
Bath Festival of Motoring
Bath Festival of Motoring is a 2-day event run by the Rotary Club of Bath. Featuring an eclectic display of classic and vintage cars and motorcycles, specialist vehicles, and high-performance supercars, the Festival is a fun-filled event for all the family.
Bath Festival of Motoring was set up in 2012 to raise money for the production and distribution of BIME’s Wizzybugs, electric wheelchairs for children under 5 living with cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, spina bifida or muscular dystrophy.
As a result of this initiative, which highlighted the need and encouraged others, including Inner Wheel, to support the charity (now called Designability), the Rotary Club of Bath has been instrumental in raising in excess of £250,000.
Previous local charities we have supported include:
- Time2Share – offering volunteer befriending services and group activities to young disabled people and their families in Bristol, Bath and NE Somerset
- Freewheelers EVS – a voluntary motorcycle fleet which offers an out of hours, free of charge courier service to the NHS, transporting blood and other essential medical supplies.
This year, we are delighted to sponsor Dorothy House Hospice Care and Nova Sports and Coaching as our chosen charities for the event.
