Daihatsu Copen
Registration:
KJ08 EOH
Year:
2008
The Copen was a Japanese ‘kei car’, a tiny convertible two-seater with a motorized hide-away hard roof. It originally had a 660 cc turbocharged engine to meet Japanese kei car regulations, but this didn’t meet emissions standards for many export countries so it was later fitted with a more powerful 1.3 L engine, as in this example. Styling was inspired by the Nissan Figaro and Audi TT Roadster.
