This Marcos GT was manufactured in Westbury Wiltshire and left the factory in May 1969. It was built as a demonstrator and as such incorporated a number of factory fitted optional extras.
When it left the factory it headed to the car dealership, Hexagon of Highgate in London, who are still in business today. It was whilst here that the car was used as a feature car in an “Autocar” road test that was published in August 1969. The car was sold and stayed in one ownership in London for nine years before being sold when it returned home to the Bristol area where it has stayed for almost the last 50 years, only changing hands once in that time.
The car has the original Ford 1600 crossflow engine which has over the years been Road / Race tuned. Other than that, the car is highly original to when it left the factory in Westbury in May 1968.
