Lada Niva Hussar

This vehicle was first registered on 1st January 1996. I only acquired it in November 2024. The previous owner, (a steam locomotive engineer), had spent considerable time and money in having it restored including a complete strip down and full respray. He only sold it because he had to give up his rented garage where he kept it undercover only driving it on good weather days. when I bought it, the bodywork was in excellent condition apart from a couple of spots, (which I still have to attend to), and the underside is immaculate. Unfortunately, she is not garaged every night and she is regularly used, although she is garaged during extended periods of non-use, (i.e. a week or more), when I am away from home. She is great fun to drive and has covered more miles since I’ve had her than she did all the time the previous owner had her. I In October 2024 I drove her from Nottingham, (where I bought her), to Preston, Lancashire , (where I was staying), and then back home to Devon. In January 2025 she made two further trips from Devon to Preston and back, (299 miles each way), and performed admirably.
