Mini Equinox

Vehicle Reg No: P759 FOA
Year: 1996

Mini Equinox was put on sale in 1996 with a production run of just 750 and sold out almost immediately. Based on the Sprite it has a 1275cc engine. This particular model had a full body rebuild about 12 years ago and given a bare shell respray to Tahiti blue having originally been a purple colour.
The work was carried out mainly by Commander Bob Carter (Royal Navy) but the engine was rebuilt by Barrie Carter and though the car shows 100k the engine has done c3000.
We purchased the car in July 24 from Barrie, a very interesting chap. He bought his first mini in 1963 when working with the legendary John Cooper. Barrie then went on to work with Sir Jackie Brabham modifying and test driving Brabham’s MG’s.
During our ownership we have done very little except, serviced and MOT’d annually, changed the steering wheel, gear knob & painted the wing mirrors to match the roof. The car is continually garaged and only used from April to September.
