Lotus Esthi

Vehicle Reg No: E6THY
Year: 2004

The Lotus Esthi is a unique hand-built prototype based on a Lotus S2 chassis, developed in Germany by Brandes & Dschüdow with engineering input from Tekno Engineering and aerodynamic testing carried out in Porsche’s wind tunnel. Designed as an extreme evolution of the Lotus philosophy, it combines lightweight construction with a heavily modified 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 producing around 450bhp.
Capable of over 205mph, the Esthi features widened bodywork, ground-effect aerodynamics, Esprit V8 running gear and a specially adapted Audi transmission engineered to handle the immense torque. With fewer than 10,000km covered and believed to be the only example ever produced, the Esthi remains one of the rarest and most unusual Lotus-derived cars in existence.
Featured in Evo magazine in 2003, the car represents a fascinating blend of British lightweight sports car engineering and German high-speed prototype development — a true one-of-one supercar.
