• Chassis 861092 – one of 1798 RHD cars built (30%) with 5871 LH cars going to the rest of the world (70%)
• Opalescent Silver Grey with Oxblood red interior
• Very original car – matching numbers – original moss 4 speed box and running on original dynamo
• At 3 years old bought by Peter Allen in 1966 for £1175 -7shillings and 6p– seat belts and sump guard fitted. Delivered to the Port of London -shipped to Mombasa then rail to Kampala.
• 1966 to 1987 – 20 year East African Adventure driven by Sir Peter Allen- the Jaguar Judge – driven through Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru and to Indian Ocean – Idi Amin knows and frequently waves at the car. AA east Africa badge still on car, spare tyre made in Kenya dates from 1986 !!- Peter Allen signed full Tool kit still present.
• 1987 Peter Allen becomes Lord Chief Justice of Uganda and swears in Museveni who is still President of Uganda. Allen asked to leave and car flown back to Gatwick -requires extensive restoration- given current number plate USV 472. Mileage 51473
• 1988 -2016 ownership moves to the Gilbert family of Brackley -restoration then hibernation doing less than 2000 miles in 28 years.
• 2016 – 2021 bought by Swiss collector and exported to Germany – does less than 500 miles in five years.
• Bought on line by David the current owner during lockdown and after overcoming covid travel restrictions and import duty arrives in Somerset in June 2021
• Programme of rolling restoration including new fuel system and rear differential restoration Jan 23
• Now a daily runner doing 6000 miles in last 3 years

Reunited with Peter Allen (96) who last saw the car in 1988 two weeks ago (the 60th anniversary of his purchase )
