Owned by me since 30 January 1982. When purchased for £1000 it had been converted to 1000cc (950) with modified (sawn-off) standard pipes which were incredibly loud. It had had 4 previous owners in 4 years. My late wife and I went on honeymoon on the Le Mans to Jersey in June ‘82 and whilst it has spent several extended periods of being off the road I knew the first time I rode it that I would never part with it. It has had three cosmetic overhauls since I’ve owned it, mostly due to incompetent car and truck drivers, including a substantial rebuild c15 years ago when it was converted back to stock with 850 LM barrels and pistons and new set of Lafranconi PR Exhaust pipes.
