This Talbot is a rare survivor, one of only four known to still exist and she has a wonderful history that I’ve come to know and treasure. She took part in the 1982 commemoration run of the celebrated Coupe des Alpes, retracing the original 1932 Alpine trial over those famous mountain passes, a real piece of motoring heritage to have in her story.
Originally supplied new by Pass & Joyce Ltd, she’s passed through the hands of a small and devoted line of owners over the decades: D.N. Cherry of Ashvale (reg. T391) from 1966, James Wheildon of Salisbury (reg. T718) from 1981, and Hector Bailey of Bridport (reg. 3159) from 2024.
I’ve had the pleasure of being her custodian since August 2024, and rather than keeping her tucked away, I run her as a daily driver — exactly as she was built to be enjoyed. Last year she was given a full engine rebuild, so she’s running beautifully and is ready for many more miles to come.
