Triumph Vitesse Mk2 Convertable

Vehicle Reg No: YUC613H
Year: 1970

I bought the car in September 2019 already fully restored.
The car was taken off the road in 1986 having done about 86000 miles. It was restored over a period of time between 1986 and 2013 by two different owners and using two cars for parts. So in no way can this car be considered original but I don’t care. It is for driving and enjoying not for winning prizes at shows.
After I got the car home I checked it over and found many faults some of which were very dangerous including loose brake calliper bolts. I spent the next few weeks making it safe and replacing all the obvious things like plugs, leads distributer cap etc etc.
Since then the car has done about 10000 miles mostly done by just using it for normal things. It is also used for classic car tours a few times a year.
During the winter of the Covid lockdown the under bonnet area and engine were given a major tidy up including painting the bulkhead. The suspension was also stripped and painted and fitted with new bushes. Under the bonnet is starting to deteriorate as the car is kept in a shipping container during most of the winter months and it attracts the moisture.
The engine has not been touched but the gearbox and differential have been rebuilt since I have had it.
The car is fantastic to drive and is 100% reliable. It is completely different to how it was when I bought it.
The intention is to keep using it and gradually improve it as time goes on.
