A late series Vauxhall PA Cresta finished in two tone Swan White and Lime Yellow. The late series Cresta had a 2.6 litre straight six engine coupled to a 3 speed column change gearbox. Automatic and overdrive was also an available option
Designed by General Motors chief designer Harley Earl, who was responsible for GM’s Buick division. The Cresta is really a scaled down version of the 1956 Buick Special.
The Cresta was Lutons rival to Fords Zephyr and Zodiac models.
19632 saw the Americana style of fins and excessive chrome slowly become less desirable so the PB Cresta was introduced, toned down to suit changing tastes.
According to DVLA there are 33 PA Crestas registered, 4 of which are on SORN, from a production run of 81,841 between 1957 and 1962.
A rare sight on the roads today.
