The Wolseley 4/44 was designed by Gerald Palmer and appeared at the 1952 Motor Show, complete with 1250cc Nuffield XP engine (XPAW to be precise), column gear change, rack-and-pinion steering and independent front suspension.
Its 1250cc engine produced 46bhp propelling the car to 60mph in 30 seconds with a top speed of 73mph.
ROX795 was purchased in June 1955 costing £868 18s 10d which included optional extras: a fog lamp, windscreen washers & wing mirrors.
The car has covered approximately 30,000 miles and is largely original with the only major works being a respray in 1994 costing £1000 and in 2008 the bumpers re-chromed costing £311.
The current owner purchased the car in 2021 and regularly attends local car club events & shows.
