Morris Minor 1000 “Bluebell”

Vehicle Reg No: XHO515
Year: 1959

“Bluebell” is a surprisingly successful 1959 racing car owned by Andrew and Mark Cross who have won dozens of Class awards and two outright Championships in historic racing. She has raced at the Goodwood Revival and Members Meeting and pretty well every circuit in UK, with wins at Castle Combe, Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Silverstone, and overseas too, for example at Spa Francorchamps.

But “Bluebell” is also very much as Issigonis designed the Minor, without any big suspension changes, lowered but still on lever arm shock absorbers, all steel bodywork and a 1000cc engine with points ignition and a dynamo. She’s an amazing and great fun little racing car!
