Nissan Figaro

Owner and loved by Bunty Knight of Abingdon for the last 18 years. The Nissan Figaro was revealed at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show and designed as a retro car reminiscent of the 1950’sIt originally came in only four colours representative of the four seasons namely emerald green for spring pale aqua for summer topaz mist for autumn and lapis grey for winter. Only 20,000 were ever produced in Japan with around 600 imported into the UK as a cult classic. Although looking retro it has many modern features for its time namely auto transmission, front wheel drive, power steering, air conditioning, built in sound system this together with its authentic “polo” wheels and retro features turned it into a cult classic much sought after. There is now a thriving market in the restoration and refurbishment of those Figaros that are left with many undergoing bright colour resprays and livery revamps to placate the ever increasing demand for this little |Retro Gem.
