One of the few remaining of it’s kind on UK roads. In it’s day a top f the range compact estate version of the once commonplace Rover R8 range, with a smooth 136bhp 2L engine,(thankfully not the often troublesome K series). I’ve owned the car for 20 years and kept in good condition for occasional use, including collecting the Christmas tree most years. At over 30 years of age, the paintwork finally succumbed to the elements last year and the car was repainted in the original Nightfire red, but it otherwise completely original. Light and responsive to drive, these cars were expensive when new, losing out on buyers to German models like the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series. Part of a collaboration with Honda, the car is based on the Honda Concerto, though Honda never produced an estate Concerto themselves. Although they sold reasonably well, it is thought that there are fewer than 10 GSI models left on UK roads,
